Danielle Peters has been a resident of Mobile, Alabama for over 15 years. She attended the University of South Alabama (Go Jags!), where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Pre-professional Health and a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy. Since graduating she has served in various pediatric private practice facilities, school systems and early intervention companies in Florida & Alabama and her passion for helping children has only continued to grow as she meets each new client. She strives to provide each child with self confidence and knowledge that enables them to become the best person that they can be.
Danielle currently holds a Certification in Handwriting from the Handwriting Without Tears Program and is a Certified Advanced iLs Practitioner for the Integrative Listening Systems Program. She also holds a certification in the the Beckman Oral Motor Program and the SOS Feeding Therapy Approach. She has received further training in feeding therapy through Melanie Potock: Feeding Therapy: It’s not just about Swallowing, as well as further training in Sensory Integration and DIR Floor time Therapy. Danielle continues to strive to teach others about the profession she loves by serving as an adjunct professor in the occupational therapy graduate school at the University of South Alabama.
Danielle’s partner in Bluebird (as well as life) is her husband, Johnny Peters. Johnny is the director of the University of South Alabama Wesley Foundation (United Methodist Campus Ministry). Johnny & Danielle have two sons, John and Andy, whom they love more and more each day. Both bring a lot of joy into their lives and help to truly make their family more complete.
